5 things I miss about St. Louis

1. My friends who still live there
2. Ted Drewes frozen custard
3. Steakin' 'n' Shakin'
4. Convenient one-stop shopping at Schnucks
5. Ol' Man River

Ohmigod I miss Ted Drewes! I went to school there... I'm jealous. I also miss lying out on Art Hill in Forest Park on warm spring afternoons. :)

I miss the arsonist in my Saint Louis neighborhood who blew up the apartment next door to me, and who exploded our garage as well. He's currently doing 15 to 20. I miss the gun shots I heard nightly. I miss the oppressive heat. I definitely miss crunked-out el Caminos playing Chingy. I miss the shoddy roads and the Jerry Springer-esque people. It's still the murder capital of the US. Yeah, (*sigh*) miss it already.

I miss paying less than $6 covers for good clubs, and coffee shops open 24 hours. And Birchers, can't forget the Birchers.
