Such an 'angineer'

Helping my sister move on Saturday, I told my dad, "I wore a sweatshirt that zipped up for maximum temperature regulation."

Makes perfect sense to me. Though please don't tell me you wore those pants where you can detach the lower half. I've never understood those. What do you do with the detached half when its too hot to wear them -- use them as drag chutes? Kerchiefs? Improvised bolos? Bandanas?

Heavens no! Two reasons:
1. I don't own any of those because they are incredibly ridiculous and ugly.
2. There was snow on the ground and it was freezing. I don't wear shorts when it is sunny--much less when it is dark, cold, and icy!

I think that those pant legs look like sleeves when they are zipped off, so maybe one should be able to buy a shirt with zippers on the end of the sleeves to zip the pant legs onto when not in use as pant legs. :)
