Players

One of my coworkers burst out, "Why do some people even bother giving you their numbers?"

"What do you mean?"

"If they are just screening their calls and sending everything to voice mail, why bother?"

"Actually, that is what productivity experts recommend," I helpfully pointed out.

"Maybe for people who are having all the information demanded from them, but for me, trying to collect the information, I would spend all my time playing phone tag if I didn't take my call." I had to concede his point. "It's like dating," he concluded. "Someone is always playing games."

Features

I got a pretty new flip phone today, but I'm not quite ready to brag yet. This cute black model is missing one feature I want...

Your fingers seemingly flew over the keypad of my phone as I drove you north towards the airport. I was on edge because you were leaving and I still regret the way I snapped at you.

"What are you doing?!"

"Nothing," you sulked.

I didn't notice the change for a few days and by then it was too late to thank you for the surprise and for the sentiment. Until I changed phones today I smiled every time I turned my phone on and saw:

Fifty thousand words

Five reasons I should’ve had a camera phone over the weekend:
  1. The airport security guard on the Segway.

  2. The 50 family members meeting their newly adopted Guatemalan infant relative.

  3. So that kid across the aisle and I could have both taken pictures of my friend walking down the aisle.

  4. Dancing with the bride, groom and my former roommates to our favorite song from that year: Any Man of Mine by Shania Twain.

  5. To capture my favorite moment of the whole weekend: being enveloped in a group hug by the bride and two of the amazing women she and I lived with.

Wondering

What is the point of using the speakerphone feature on your cell phone while driving if you’re holding the cell phone right in front of your mouth?
